Hầu hết anh em ai cũng biết sự tiện lợi của chương trình Time Machine.
Em mua TC cũng đã lâu nhưng thực sự sử dụng để kết hợp với TM làm thành 1 hệ thống back-up tuyệt diệu thì mới gần đây. Và do nhu cầu cần chia sẻ, lưu trữ dữ liệu với một số máy tính Win -> nên đúc kết được một bài viết như sau để anh em khi muốn mua TC về để dùng -> còn khai thác được triệt để các tính năng của em nó, ko giống như em - bỏ phí bao lâu nay.
Time Capsule (TC) có một số tính năng chính như sau:
1. Là máy phát wifi chuẩn N.

2. Là ổ cứng lưu trữ dữ liệu - 1Tb hoặc 2TB tuỳ loại.

3. Chia sẽ máy in, chia sẻ ổ cứng lắp ngoài cắm thêm để mở rộng khả năng lưu trữ dữ liệu or etc. (Khi cắm máy in or ổ cứng USB lắp ngoài vào TC, nó sẽ tự nhận và đưa vào khai thác sử dụng được ngay.)

TC cực kỳ phù hợp cho nhu cầu người sử dụng gia đình, văn phòng nhỏ mà sử dụng cả máy tính WIn lẫn máy tính Mac.
Về độ tiện dụng (tiện lợi và dễ sử dụng), TC cũng không khác gì những sản phẩm của Apple khác -> cực kỳ dễ dàng trong lắp đặt và đưa vào sử dụng.
Lắp đặt:
Nguồn, USB, WAN, 3 Lans, Kensington sercurity lock,
Bạn cắm dây lan từ modem ADSL vào cổng WAN cạnh cổng USB.
Cắm dây lan từ TC nối ra máy tính cần sử dụng
Cắm nguồn.
Lần đầu sử dụng -> dùng Airport Utility để setup confiruration cho em nó.
Ai đã dùng Airport Exress or Extreme Base station rồi thì chắc sẽ dễ dàng quản lý thôi vì TC và AE & EBS chỉ khác mỗi phần DISK thôi.
1. back-up
Dùng Time Machine và chọn TC là ổ cứng để backup.
Có thể dùng TC để backup nhiều em Mac một lúc.
2. Chia sẻ máy in.
Sau khi đã cắm máy in vào TC,
Đối với máy Mac -> chọn Systems preferencese -> Prints & Fax và chọn máy in đã được tự động nhận từ TC.
Đối với máy WIn: cài đặt chương trình: Bonjour for Windows (có thể load dễ dàng trên Apple.com or đĩa đi kèm theo máy), sau đó chạy Bonjour Printer Wizard -> em nó sẽ tự nhận bất kỳ một máy in nào đang cắm ở máy Mac or TC or EBS or AE cho bạn mà ko phải cài thêm một phần mềm or driver nào cả (thật là đơn giản và dễ dàng cho người sử dụng) - cái soft này được khuyến cáo nên dùng kể cả khi ko có TC
3. Chia sẻ dữ liệu:
Đối với máy Mac -> có thể dễ dàng thay đổi thiết lập or truy xuất TC thông qua Airport Utility và FInder. Ko có gì để nói.
Đối với máy WIn: muốn truy xuất và thay đổi thiết lập -> cài đặt thêm soft Airport Utility for Windows là xong.
Nó cho phép chúng ta thiết lập mức độ bảo mật, wireless, chia sẻ dữ liệu, chia sẻ máy in.
Hướng dẫn thiết lập:
Cắm nguồn và các cables như mong muốn. TC được thiết kế để luôn bật, do đó ko có công tắc để tắt.
Từ máy Mac or Win, chạy chương trình Airport utility, thiết lập password cho thiết bị, bật tính năng wireless nhấn apply và sẵn sàng cho các bước tiếp theo.
Để thiết lập chia sẻ dữ liệu trong Airport Utility, chọn phần DISK ở Menu trên cùng và sau đó chọn File Sharing từ menu con và sau đó tick vào ô Enable File Sharing.
TC cung cấp 3 sự lựa chọn như sau:
1. Cho phép truy cập dùng mật khẩu của TC.
2. Cho phép truy cập dùng mật khẩu của ổ đĩa.
3. Cho phép truy cập với từng người dùng riêng biệt.
Với trường hợp này, cần setup cho một văn phòng nhỏ or gia đình với một số người sử dụng khác nhau, tôi chọn With Accounts. Sau đó chọn Configure accounts ở dưới hoặc chọn Account ở Menu cùng cấp với File Sharing.
Khởi tạo tên và password với số lượng người dùng mong muốn.
Quay lại File Sharing, ở phần WORKGROUP -> có thể đặt tên bất kỳ or đặt tên trùng với tên của mạng nội bộ sẵn có.
Chọn update và thưởng thức thành quả lao động của mình.
Với máy tính Mac -> dễ dàng truy cập vào TC với account đã khởi tạo.
Máy tính Win, có thể gọi IP của TC (chạy AU để biết IP của TC là bao nhiêu) và nhập username + pass đã được cung cấp. or tìm TC ở phần My network places.
Mỗi một user -> TC sẽ tự động khởi tạo 2 thư mục, 1 mang tên cá nhân đó và thư mục này chỉ người sử dụng đó or admin mới có thể truy cập và 1 thư mục mang tên Time Capsule để dùng chung giữa tất cả các người sử dụng.
Vậy là bây giờ bạn có TC trong văn phòng or ở nhà với: bộ phát sóng không dây, một máy in đã được chia sẻ, một thư mục chia sẻ dữ liệu với nhiều người sử dụng và thư mục dữ liệu của riêng từng cá nhân.
Nhưng nó lại rất đáng tiền nếu nhu cầu của bạn là: thiết bị lưu trữ (có dây or không dây), 1 đầu phát sóng không dây, một printer server thì đây quả là thiết bị đáng đồng tiền bát gạo.
Tóm lại, bạn cần một mạng hỗn hợp cho cả WIN & MAC thì TIME CAPSULE là thiết bị đầu tiên mà bạn nên cân nhắc để sắm.
Chú ý: cần phải cài đặt Bonjour 4 Windows lên từng máy tính PC để có thể truy xuất TC.
