INSTAX SQUARE SQ10 cũng tương tự như những chiếc máy ảnh tiền nhiệm khác ở khả năng chụp và in ảnh lấy liền. Thế nhưng điều đặc biệt mà chỉ ở SQ10 mới có chính là lưu ảnh ở dạng tập tin kỹ thuật số. Được biết, chiếc máy ảnh này cho ra tỉ lệ ảnh vuông 1:1 kích thước 86 x 72 mm.

Về phương diện kỹ thuật số, SQ10 là chiếc máy ảnh INSTAX đầu tiên trang bị khả năng chụp ảnh kỹ thuật số với cảm biến CMOS kích thước 1/4 inch cùng bộ lọc màu cơ bản, mang đến các bức ảnh JPEG có độ phân giải 1920 x 1920 pixel.

Bên cạnh bộ nhớ trong có thể chứa được khoảng 50 bức ảnh, bạn có thể mở rộng thêm bộ nhớ bằng thẻ microSD. Sau khi chụp khoảng 160 bức ảnh, bạn sẽ phải sạc pin cho máy thông qua cổng Micro USB.

INSTAX SQ10 sử dụng ống kính tiêu cự 28,5 mm cùng khẩu độ F/2.4. Mặt sau máy được trang bị màn hình LCD màu kích thước 3 inch độ phân giải 460K điểm ảnh, giúp người dùng dễ dàng nhìn và bố cục khung ảnh. Rãnh xoắn phía dưới thân máy được thiết kế để bạn gắn tripod.

Với INSTAX SQUARE SQ10, bạn có thể lập tức in bức ảnh đó từ thẻ nhớ ngoài hoặc bộ nhớ trong chỉ với “một nốt nhạc”. Hơn thế nữa, ống kính này có thể lấy nét ở khoảng cách rất gần - 10 cm, hệ thống cân bằng ánh sáng tự động, nhận diện khuôn mặt cùng tự động lấy nét, hệ thống màn trập đôi, 10 filter màu khác nhau, điều chỉnh độ vignette trong ảnh, có thể tuỳ chỉnh lượng sáng, live view và có cả công cụ chỉnh sửa ảnh ngay bên trong máy.
